5) Network Layer:-
- It deals with source to destination, Host to Host, End to end delivery of packets through connection less services. Hence, unreliable and there is no connection control./
- Network defines IP address and on the basis of them path determination and routing is done.
6) Data Link Layer:-
- It is a connection oriented layer which deals with link to l;ink, hop to hop, node to node delivery of frame.
- It provides flow control and error control through CRC which is done link by link. Hence, it is reliable and the devices are defined on the basis of MAC(Media Access Control) address.
